Home and Abroad News Press awarded Ambassador Maja Stefanovic with a title of News Person of the Year in 2023. In explanation of the award, the president of the media company Mrs. Wei Yan said that the Maja Stefanovic was proposed for the award by Chinese media, who promotion of the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in a number of areas attributed to the Ambassador’s contribution.

In her address, Maja Stefanovic expressed her gratitude to the Chinese media for following up on success stories of cooperation between Serbia and China, including the recent high level visits of President Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic to China, that made Serbia more visible in China's media space, thus emphasized the value of the two countries' strategic relations.

In the same time, she expressed an expectation that cooperation in the field of traditional and new medias between the two countries would continue, as well as mutual visits of journalists.

Among the laureates, there were also Ambassadors of Turkey, Syria, Ethiopia and Georgia. Home and Abroad News Press, a mainstream media in China and an actor of Chinese public and cultural diplomacy, has been working with much dedication over 20 years to strengthen the bridges of media cooperation between China and foreign countries.
