At the invitation of the Embassy of United Mexican States to Beijing, Ambassador Maja Stefanovic attended a working lunch in honour of the Mexican Foreign Minister Mrs. Alicia Barcena, during her visit of Beijing.

Selected attendees, who were part of a group of women ambassadors in Beijing, exchanged views with the head of Mexican diplomacy on the development and role of China in the world, as well as on their countries' relations with China.

In conversation with Minister Barcena, Ambassador Stefanovic expressed  her gratitude for Mexican support to Serbia in matters of the highest national interest, conveyed the greetings of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Ivica Dacic and reiterated an invitation to visit Serbia, that Minister Barcena accepted with pleasure.

Apart from Ambassador Stefanovic, working lunch was attended by women ambassadors of Lebanon, Cyprus, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Slovenia and the Bahamas. Resident representatives of UNDP and UNICEF in Beijing also attended, as well as the Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of the United Kingdom.
