On November 16, 2023, Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia Maja Stefanovic presented to the President of Mongolia U. Kurelsuk the credential letters by which the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić accredited her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia to Mongolia on a non-residential basis, based in Beijing.

In a short conversation amb. Stefanovic and Foreign Minister Batmunk Batsetseg expressed mutual satisfaction with the traditional relations between Serbia and Mongolia and readiness for their further improvement in all areas, with the intensification of dialogue at the high and highest political level.

During her stay in Mongoilia, Ambassador Stefanović also met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Development C. Khurelbaatar, Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry J. Ganbaatar, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia N. Ankhbayar, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of Mongolia, as well as the representatives of the Directorate for Europe of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia. During the talks, particular emphasis was placed on intensifying economic cooperation, especially in the fields of agriculture, tourism, scientific and technological cooperation, mining, etc.

During the visit to Mongolia Ambassador Stefanovic also met with the representatives of Serbian diaspora in Mongolia.
