During their visit to Beijing on July 12th the Department for Europe from Shandong Province FAO, led by the Deputy General Director of the Lin Hanbin, met with Ambassador M. Stefanović in the Embassy of Serbia.

 

The Deputy General Director Lin pointed out that this is his first visit to one of the embassies from European countries since his appointment, which shows how important partner Serbia is for Shandong Province. Stressing excellent cooperation between Shandong and Serbia, he pointed out that companies from Shandong are participating in important projects in Serbia, such as the construction of highway 763, the Chinese Cultural Center, etc. In the context of further development of cooperation at the local level, he informed that the Association for Cooperation of Local Leaders will be established in Shandong, and expressed hope that cooperation with Serbia within the mentioned association will be fruitful as well. Deputy General Director Lin also announced that "Serbian House", in which Serbian products will be offered, and which is being built by Shandong Hispeed Co., will be opened in September this year alongside Jinan-Qingdao Expressway.

 

Ambassador Stefanović underlined that Shandong Province is an important partner for Serbia, especially given the positive results of our cooperation with companies such as Linglong and Shandong Hispeed. She also pointed out that Serbia provides full support to China-CEEC Mechanism, which we will continue to support in the future as well. Both sides emphasized the great importance of high-level exchanges, to which recent visit of the Minister of Tourism and Youth of Serbia Mr. H. Memic largely contributed, as well as the importance of further intensifying visits.
