The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Nikola Selakovic congratulated Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, emphasizing that he would make personal efforts to further develop Serbian-Chinese cooperation.

“The previous century will be marked in history as a century of extraordinary success of the Communist Party of China, which under the wise guidance of its leaders, continuously striving for the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics, had China rise from a poor country to the second world’s economic power, the most populous nation which has eradicated absolute poverty, drawing strength from patriotism and unity", reads the congratulatory message from Minister Selakovic.

By basing its actions on the principles of justice, while fighting for peace and equality, the Communist Party of China, according to Selakovic, became the inspiration for the success of all freedom-loving movements in the world.

The Head of Serbian diplomacy expressed his belief that in the next century as well, the Communist Party of China would carry the flag of success and be at the front of the fight for ideals of justice, leading China along further paths of development.

Selakovic also stated that every visit to China impressed him in a new way and confirmed that the unity of the people was the strongest driving force leading to the soon realization of the Chinese dream.

Minister Selakovic expressed his belief that, in line with the theoretical thought of President of the People's Republic of China and General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Xi Jinping, China will continue to strengthen to the benefit of all countries across the globe, advocating respect for the principles of international law and the UN Charter, and stand in even more concrete support of all, especially developing countries that are struggling with major challenges on their path of development.

"The bright future of our relations has been paved through the agreements reached and personal friendly ties between the Presidents of our countries who are at the same time the heads of leading political parties in the two countries", Selakovic said.
