Printer Friendly Version Perspectives of cooperation between Serbia and Hunan Province – meeting of Ambassador Bacevic with Foreign Minister Wang Yi @ 18 September 2019 03:32 AM

Аmbassador Milan Bacevic attended the presentation of the Hunan Province “China in the New Era: Innovative Hunan Embracing the World”, jointly organized by China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the People's Government of Hunan Province, on 12 September, 2019. On this occasion, Ambassador Bacevic had a conversation with the Foreign Minister Wang Yi during which both sides reaffirmed the readiness to consider possibilities of cooperation between Serbia and Huanan province in the field of mutual interest. Ambassador Bacevic also met with the provincial governor Mr. Xu Dazhe and party secretary, Mr. Du Jiahao who extended an invitation to the Ambassador to visit Hunan in the near future, to which the Ambassador responded positively.
Promotion has aimed at showcasing significant achievements in economic and social development that Hunan has made since the founding of the People's Republic of China. It has shown also how the province promotes the Belt and Road Initiative and improves the layout of development by leveraging the geographical strengths of Hunan as it connects the eastern coastal region with central and western regions, and the Yangtze River Economic Belt with the open coastal economic belt.
Known as the cradle of the Chinese revolution and home to many great souls of the Chinese history including in the first place the founder of new China Mao Zedong, Hunan  has opened itself to become a key transport artery of central China. Over recent years, Hunan has been committed to innovation-driven opening up and rising in its pursuit of development, reaching GDP of 3, 64 trillion RMB and ranking eighth in the country.
In conversation with the Chinese hosts, there has been exchanged of opinions on possible field of cooperation such as agriculture, engineering machinery, infrastructure construction, tourism and other fields that could increase the possibility of sharing development opportunities.
