(Beijing, 30 November 2013) In the organization of the Foreign Economic Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture of China, Annual Workshop on Agricultural Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries for 2013 was held in Beijing on 29 November 2013. In addition to the representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of China, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Slovenia, Montenegro, Hungary, Estonia, Macedonia, Romania, Poland, Moldova, Czech Republic and Serbia.

Representatives from the Chinese side presented the agricultural cooperation between China and CEE countries in 2013 and reviewed the work plan for 2014.

A representative of the Embassy of Serbia in Beijing M. Kuzmanović presented to the participants of the meeting the cooperation between Serbia and China and the potential for its further development in the field of agriculture. He indicated, as particularly significant activities in the 2013, the visit of China's Deputy Minister of Agriculture Niu Dun to Serbia in July, as well as the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in agriculture, during the visit of the President of Serbia T. Nikolić to China in August.
